The Rattus technos and your Digitus secundus
So much have been said about the political spectrum; the left, the right, the center, blah blah blah. And as most people remember, probably based on their Polsci 101 learning, the right defends the status quo while the left is the one who challenges the order and so on and so forth.
Well, i’m just wondering, isn’t it amazing that we usually click the left button of our computer mouse instead of its right counterpart. At last, a “left” that is part of the status quo.
And may be, with this “new life” of mine after living as a fulltime activist for seven years, i am indeed, somehow, like that nuisance often caressed by your index finger.

*Victor Morillo is a former Biology scholar at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila in Intramuros, Manila. He dropped-out of college in 2000 to work full-time as an activist under the Sanlakas left bloc. After 7 years of working as a full-time youth organizer, he decided to “work with pay” and now calls himself an “often underpaid, sometimes glorified corporate slave.”
